yeah, like i know football
okay, so really. the saints beat the falcons? REALLY? come ON! i mean, have you seen the power rankings? according to my database, atlanta's average power ranking is, like, over 10 slots higher than new orleans!! is it possible it was rigged? i would have been much less shocked to see the browns actually beat the ravens (they almost did! was SOOOO exciting! -- did anyone else hear the announcers mention condi rice was a browns fan? yeah, she knows...) anyway, back to the question: do you believe a pro football team would intentionally concede under certain circumstances? or does home team advantage (multiplied by 1000 given the timing) really make much of a difference? is anyone else disturbed that i even notice and/or care?
and yeah, big b-day wish to D. ya'll done those that floor yet?

Yeah, I'm impressed that you noticed that a) it's football season, b) you have a database tracking football teams, c) you are practically Mindy! d) you noticed the Saints won e) and you know enough to know that they shouldn't have won.
And to answer your question, yes, I think a team would rig a game, especially if they had the right incentive.
