ya ya weekend

ah, feels good to be back home with my cat and my tivo (ahem, DVR). was good times in sunny florida though! spent a couple of hours in the sun the first day, without sunscreen, and of course got a little burned. but not too badly. did a lot of eating and tv watching and reading and sitting by the pool. (almost) early morning walks on the beach too. and some redecorating at the house in ormond beach. woot. now i'm wading through 3 episodes each of The View and the Ellen show, Desperate Housewives, The Sopranos, 24, The Riches, Amazing Race, etc. etc. (what happened to Brothers & Sisters?! and Lost! oh nooo, DVR filled up). oh, and there's laundry.

p.s.-thanks no doubt to stew, my new chair survived the cat while i was gone!
p.p.s.-am watching ellen dance right this very minute.

Beautiful girls! That picture needs to be framed.

thanks amy. and robyn, what are you doing with that adorable little baby? tell me you've adopted it and named it tinkerbell.

her name is chi-chi and i wanted to adopt it! unfortunately, it already has an owner. kind of makes me want to trade my cat in though... ;)

chi-chi rivera. ooh la la. hahahahaha. she's a cutie patootie and get one for unca sammy, no need to trade in. unca sammy needs a playmate. i like the way you initially called chi-chi her and then changed to "it" already has an owner.

OK. Sitting at your desk, start moving your right foot in clockwise circles. Then draw the number 6 in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change directions. I don't know if it happens with lefties, but who really cares?

A woman went to the undertakers to have one last look at her dearly
departed husband. The instant she saw him she starts crying. One of
the undertakers strides up to provide comfort in this sombre moment.

Through her tears she explains that she is upset because her
dearest Albert was wearing a black suit, and it was his dying wish to be
buried in a blue suit. The undertaker apologizes and explains that,
traditionally, they always put the bodies in a black suit, but he'd
see what he could arrange.

The next day she returned to the undertakers to have one last
moment with Albert before his funeral the following day. When the
undertaker pulls back the curtain, she manages to smile through her
tears as Albert is resplendent in a smart blue suit.

She says to the undertaker, "Wonderful, but where did you get that
beautiful blue suit?"

"Well, yesterday afternoon after you left, a man about your
husband's size was brought in & he was wearing a blue suit. His
wife explained that she was very upset as he had always wanted to be
buried in a black suit," the undertaker replied.

The wife's face begins to brighten slightly....

He continued, "After that, it was simply a matter of swapping the
heads."

yeah, works on me too! ;)
