keeping up my end of the bargain
yay! 3 people still acknowledge my presence! guess i should say something.
so no, i'm really not going to bore ya'll with my daily smoking and drinking stats (read: haven't been as good as i should be). and to answer nancy, yes it's true, i am no fun anymore. although i still drink, just trying not to do the wine every night thing. couple times a week ain't bad, right? and avoiding the den of iniquity that sucks the wallet dry and leaves me feeling completey wicked. instead, on a wild and crazy friday, i sit at home with fire and cat and czech netflix movie (which btw, turned out to be REALLY good!). now it's time for Men In Trees. ahem, i may end up going out after all...
anyway, thanks for coming! i have a survey question. i have decided what i'm going to do, but wondering, regarding Thanksgiving, should i do what i WANT to do (stay home, sleep, read, watch TV) or what i SHOULD do (run down and see mama and grandmama). would it be unforgivably selfish to do the former?

Well....imagine being stranded in a foreign country with only hard rice, fried meat, and black potatoes to eat...now get on down to those houses to eat thanksgiving with the family that loves you. just my opinion of course.

Yeah, just imagine being stuck so far away. How lucky can you get? And what the hell are black potatoes? Maybe you shouldn't leave them in the fire so long. And rice should be cooked before you eat it, have you not learned how to boil water yet? I got in trouble once when I was in Illinois working and was going to miss Thanksgiving. Dad yelled at me and said I had to come home. What's up with that?

The potatoes are called chunyo and they are always black...something about dehydrated potatoes...the rice is hard because it's cold...and you need a good yelling at every once in awhile!

woohoo, now we're chatting. i think you should do what you want for thanksgiving, but think of the joy and thanks your mother and gmama would feel at your presence. also, you could stop by and see our mom too! as for stew needing to be yelled at once in a while, that is true. albeit (did i just type that) no too much. i'm thankful for no yelling this year.
