i called my mother tonight to check in and she asked if i had "any special plans for later this week". like she was testing to see if i'd forgotten our anniversary or something. so i said i was planning on coming down to see her on thursday and she said she'd been invited to someone else's place for dinner. hah! but then said she didn't think she was going to make it but i wonder if she's just blowing it off because i'm coming down. and she also said it was fine if i didn't make it down because gas prices are so high and it's supposed to rain. no wonder i'm so weird. i was obviously born into it!
